THE
NATIONAL PUERTO RICAN DAY PARADE
A TRADITION SINCE 1958 JoinThe National Puerto Rican Parade as it
celebrates its many Puerto Rican Parade events during 2006. |
The National Puerto Rican Day Parade was established
in 1995 to create national awareness and appreciation of Puerto
Rican culture and its contribution to the culture and society of
the United States. It does so by encouraging, promoting, coordinating,
and participating in cultural events such as concerts, plays, art
exhibits and parades throughout the U.S. Our mission is to enhance
the self esteem of Puerto Ricans and promote economic development,
education, and advancement. We also recognize outstanding contributions
made by Puerto Ricans in their respective fields. We encourage our
youth to realize their dreams and ambitions through education and
hard work. The National Puerto RicanParade's Board of Directors
is made up of prominent men and women of Puerto Rican heritage.

Sponsorship
Helps Those in Need |
As a participating sponsor you will be joining the Parade in a very
important mission to which the Parade is completely dedicated enabling
children of Puerto Rican Heritage to further their academic studies
through our High School and College Scholarship Funds. Proceeds
raised through sponsorship packages are the primary source of funding
for the Program.
Providing the means to achieve the best educational experience to
academically qualified students who otherwise would never get the
chance, the scholarship program ensures that they will be able to
complete their high school education and/or continue their studies
at an institution of higher learning. The program also offers the
students guidance and mentoring while they continue their education.
Scholarship awards are given out by theNational Puerto Rican Parade
Board members and sponsors and this is televised by FOX and MY-9.
